An Important Update from Rosedale Veterinary Clinic
After 19 years of caring for pets and families in the Austin community, we are saddened to share that Rosedale Veterinary Clinic will be closing its doors. It has been an incredible privilege to be part of this community, and we are deeply grateful to the clients who have trusted us with the care of their beloved pets.
After careful consideration of our practice’s future and the excellent veterinary care available in the Austin community, we have made the difficult decision to close Rosedale Veterinary Clinic. With several excellent sister hospitals nearby, including Northwest Veterinary Hospital, our focus is on helping our patients transition smoothly to trusted, compassionate care close to home.
Our final day for veterinary appointments, medication refills, and food pickups will be Friday, October 30, 2026.
We know that transitioning your pet’s care can feel overwhelming, and our team is committed to making this process as smooth as possible. A member of our team will remain available at the hospital through October 30, to provide transition support, including:
- Transferring medical records
- Assisting with prescription transfers
- Helping clients schedule appointments with a new veterinary provider
- Answering questions about your pet’s transition of care
Requesting Medical Records
For quick access to basic medical information, including vaccination history, many records are also available through the PetDesk app.
To request a copy of your pet's medical records, please contact Rosedale Veterinary Clinic at RosedaleVC@yourvetdoc.com or call (512) 371-0444.
Please allow 3–5 business days for digital copies to be sent by email and up to one week for physical copies to be mailed or made available for pickup.
Information regarding how to request medical records after our location has fully closed will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
Managing Prescriptions and Treatments
If your pet has an ongoing prescription, we encourage you to plan ahead for any medications or refills they may need during this transition. Please call (512) 371-0444 ahead of our final day on Friday, October 30, 2026, to discuss any needed refills and allow time for medications to be prepared and picked up.
We also encourage you to establish care with a new veterinary provider before our closure to help avoid interruptions in your pet's ongoing prescriptions and treatments.
Continuing Your Pet's Care
We encourage our clients to continue their pets' care at our sister hospital, Northwest Veterinary Hospital. Located nearby in Austin, Northwest offers a convenient option for your pet's ongoing veterinary needs. Please contact their team to schedule an appointment and discuss establishing care. Thank You, Austin
It has been an incredible privilege to care for the pets and families of the Austin community. Over the years, you have trusted us through new puppies and kittens, annual visits, illnesses, emergencies, difficult goodbyes, and so many moments in between. We are deeply grateful for that trust, and for the relationships we have built with our clients and their pets.
While saying goodbye to our hospital is difficult, our priority during this transition remains the same as it has always been: helping ensure that our patients continue to receive the care they need.
To our clients, our patients, and the Austin community: thank you for your support, your trust, and for allowing Rosedale Veterinary Clinic to be part of your families. It has truly been our honor to care for yours.
